What does that tell you?

I didn't call for an update last month or this month.

I'm about over this whole adoption journey.

  1. Yeah, it's tough because it doesn't mean anything until you are matched. Sometimes I want updates and sometimes I don't. A break can be good. At least to try to force it out of your head for a while.

  2. I continue to remain hopeful for you. I have a feeling it will happen when you least expect it.

  3. Hang in there. It took us 19 months to finally have our baby in our arms. You are strong enough to get through this.

  4. I know it's painful to wait, but we waited 9 months after the homestudy to get the first call and that is shorter than average for our agency! It was 15 months from our homestudy until Evie was born. It was worth every single second. Han g in there, baby.

  6. Blah... Feeling the same way lately. Hoping the Spring weather might get me out of this rut.

  7. I so know how you're feeling. I pretty much stopped checking in with the facilitator. I figure that if there was real news, she would call me. It is really tough. I agree with Trace though...it will happen when you're least expecting it. That's the exciting thing about domestic adoption. Keep your chin up.

  9. Please hang on...I can't even believe I'm typing those words to someone else...we waited FOUR years and our baby just arrived last week, and while I wouldn't wish that amount of waiting on anyone, it was SO worth it in the end. I've always been envious of how much more quickly things can happen in the U.S. (I'm in Canada and four years is not uncommon, but it can take longer) so please try to appreciate how lucky you are that it could happen soon. People always told me I had to believe it would happen and it was the toughest thing of all, keeping the faith. I used to get annoyed when people would say "It will happen" (no offense to Jodi and others above) but it's true! It will!

  10. Hey, Mrs. H,

Haven't seen a post from you in a while. Just wanted you to know that you're in my thoughts.

    Best and peace...
