ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME!?!?!?

I have a bloggy friend (non adoption/IVF or the ilk) whose husband is deployed to the Middle East. He's 3/4 of the way done and was home for two weeks before Thankgiving. They have 2 kids under the age of 3.

She's pregnant.

In TWO weeks she managed to get knocked up!!!

TWO WEEKS!!

  1. That's some serious timing mojo! Sounds like my SIL with her 2nd, "Oh, I thought I'd quit bcp's in the fall and we'd really start trying after Jan" Yep, she was pregnant in Sept. The Fertile Myrtle references that she and my MIL made KILLED me. Hang in there.

  2. This made me laugh out loud. I understand your reation, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I have a friend who is currently pregnant with twins (children #4 & #5) - she just LOOKS at her husband is knocked up.

Geochick is right - just hang in there. And know you can count on your adoption/IVF bloggy friends to understand :)

  3. That is ridiculous. I totally get it. At least you know you're not alone. WE get it :)

  5. I wouldn't mind some of her magic either. I know how you feel.

  6. I know (!), but I love those military stories anyhow, since I have military in my family. We had church friends when I was a teen who had a baby exactly 9 months to the day after the husband returned from a year-long deployment. :) Those kinds of stories get shouted from the rooftops in military circles. Oh, and J was conceived on a Japanese Navy base when his dad's ship was delayed shipping out for a couple of days because of a typhoon! :)

  7. The EXACT same thing happened to a good friend of ours. My FIL says to me, "well, you know, all it takes is one shot." Seriously? One shot huh? Well, after 4 years of "shots" I wanted to punch him in the chin. Goodness, know your audience!
